Alexis Agnew

Alexis completed her 200 hour yoga certification at Yoga Culture in Danbury, CT. and is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her classes have a strong focus on alignment and breath awareness. Alexis began a yoga practice looking for a good workout and discovered a pathway to a sound mind, sound body and happy life. By focusing on the breath and subtleties of the human body, Alexis believes we then begin to feel a unity between the mind, body and spirit. Alexis holds a degree in communication studies and a masters in childhood education. She looks forward to supporting you on your personal path of self-discovery.

Ann Brett

A winning combination of Irish fire, poetry, philosophy and alignment makes Ann Brett the ultimate muse and yoga partner. She leads us with energy and presence to physical and spiritual refreshment, teaching us to approach the wonder of life with a beginner’s mind both on and off the mat. As an Integrative Yoga Therapist, an Anusara Inspired Yoga Teacher and a Certified Orthopedic Massage Therapist, Ann holds a safe and nurturing space for all her students, where each person feels they are getting individual instruction.

Kate Bovers

Kate Bovers is a certified hatha yoga teacher and Reiki master who came to yoga at a time when her health was ruled by chronic Lyme disease. She feels that yoga brought her back to well being and desires to give back all that she has learned. Trainings include Katonah Yoga with Nevine Michaan, Yogaworks with Alan Finger, Om Yoga with Gina Norman, Anusara with Ross Rayburn, Anatomy and Physiology with Ellen Saltonstall, Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater, Psychology of the Chakras with Anodea Judith and Sequencing with Christina Sell.

Kate utilizes specific alignment cues, kinetic awareness, mindful meditation, breath work and movement to access the subconscious language of the body. With a sensitivity to each student's individual needs, she loves to play with the aligned form of the body as a way to open the center of the heart . Kate is currently training on the Fundamentals of Teaching with Noah Maze and The Emergence Process (the shift from ego to essence) with Patricia Ellsberg and Barbara Marx Hubbard. She finds great joy getting lost on the reservation with her Cavalier mix Buella Bell.

Laura Elms

Laura Elms graduated from Duke University with degrees in Psychology and Design. After years in management and marketing, she took her natural curiosity and interest in people and design to Yoga. For thirteen years, she has practiced and studied yoga, exploring an array of disciplines and teachers around the country.
Laura is certified in Hatha Yoga and Interactive Neuromuscular Movement. With a specialization in Chair yoga, she is passionate about making yoga and movement accessible for every ability.
With a creative eye, she helps us tune in to our own strength, flexibility and balance. She teaches with playful curiosity and serious attention to form, structure and breath. She prides herself on being an artist and a mother.

Cynthia Fuller-Kling

Cynthia Fuller-Kling, RYT 500 hr, has been teaching yoga based classes since 1983, most recently in her own studio across the river in Palisades, NY. Originally from Toronto, Cynthia began practicing yoga in 1982 during her career as a professional modern dancer. She also draws on an extensive background of bodywork, the Alexander Technique, Pilates, energy work and meditation in her teaching. Anusara has been her primary focus of study in yoga since 2002. Cynthia is deeply grateful to all her teachers, mentors and students, both past and present. In her ever unfolding journey of deep inner work, Cynthia has been developing "The Fuller Method," synthesizing her eclectic array of body knowledge and mindfulness. In her classes, Cynthia guides and encourages students to move into each asana/pose with the intention of creating optimal alignment so that they can experience themselves to the fullest.

Rebekah Jacobs

Rebekah serves as Director of The Yoga Loft at Bedford Post. She guided the studio to receive the accolade 'Best Yoga Center 2012' and '2013' through Westchester Magazine. Rebekah has a passion to make yoga accessible to everyone, give back to our community and make yoga fun!

She initially received her yoga certification through the Anusara method and is an E-RYT with Yoga Alliance. She continued her studies in Restorative Yoga (Judith Lasater), Pre-Natal Yoga (Mary Barnes /Jennifer Pettit) , Yoga for Youth (Christine McArdle-Oquendo), Pilates (PhysicalMind, NYC/Vancouver) and Meditation (Sally Kempton).

Rebekah is a Lululemon Brand Ambassador and was chosen to participate in the company's Ambassador Summit in Vancouver, BC., honored for her dedication and commitment to elevating our community.

She has read for the blind, taught reading to impoverished communities and looks forward to serving at a mental health clinic in the near future. She is grateful for opportunity to connect with you.

Susan Johnston

Susan Johnston is a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a student of yoga for over 15 years. Influenced by many different styles of yoga she has come to embrace the principles and spirit of Anusara Yoga. Susan's teachings offer a slow flowing practice with deep exploration of asana placing a great emphasis on alignment. A practice that nourishes the body, mind and heart, opening oneself up to their true potential on and off the mat. She is excited to learn and share the refined alignment, therapeutic qualities and inspiring philosophy of Yoga, which have helped her to experience life more fully. I am honored to be part of the Yoga Loft community, to share, study and practice this wonderful gift of yoga.

Nancy Joyce

Nancy has been practicing yoga since 2008, having come from an athletic and running background. While studying Art History at the University of San Diego, she was first introduced to yoga as a pathway to heal a painful stress fracture injury.
Trainings include Yoga Sculpt through Core Power Yoga in San Diego and Mitchel and Tracy Bleier's 200 hour program. She teaches a heat-building vinyasa flow, infused with yoga philosophy, alignment principles, humor, and uplifting music. Her wish is to create an open and secure setting so you can navigate your own unique path and remember that you are right where you are meant to be.

Patricia Keane

Patricia Keane received her Hatha Yoga 200 Hour Certification from Master Teacher Paula Heitzner and the New Age Center in Nyack, NY. She has been teaching full time for eleven years and continues her education through workshops with Judith Lasater and Chrys Kub. These trainings have inspired her passion for restorative Yoga, posture correction and the mechanics of movement. Her classes combine breath work, alignment and in depth instruction which promote conscious movement in a nurturing and safe way. Tricia’s warm presence, knowledge of anatomy and attention to detail provide every student with the tools to explore their own individual posture, core strength, flexibility and well being. Tricia sees yoga as an endless source of learning and joy, and is so grateful to her students for sharing it with her. She lives in South Salem, New York with her husband and two daughters.

Sandra Perlow

strongly supports the yogi's philosophy of seva (selfless service) and notes that in giving back, she receives tenfold. Her service began at In Touch Network in NYC, where she did weekly readings for the blind. After receiving two teaching certificates in both Hatha and Kundalini yoga, she studied in India, with Gurmukh of Golden Bridge Yoga and deeply into Vipassana Meditation. She shared teachings at women's shelters and youth detention centers across Westchester and has trained and worked as a hospice volunteer. Currently, she teaches yoga at Bedford Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison for women and just began a full time volunteer position at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. Kundalini yoga, which awakens the awareness that we are all part of one divine energy, has paved the way for her compassionate, open-hearted service. She is eternally grateful for the teachers who have touched her life and the grace to be able to share the practices of uniting body, mind and spirit.

Vanessa Spina

Vanessa Spina (ERYT 500) has been teaching in Manhattan since 2001 and is a recent transplant to the Hudson Valley. Her intelligent, playful, and nourishing sessions are informed by years of studying alignment and philosophy through the practice of Anusara yoga.
She created the "Yoga For Performance" program at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and serves as an adjunct faculty member in the nationally ranked drama division.

Dr. Kathy Sward

Rita Trieger

Rita Trieger is the founder and former editor-in-chief of Fit Yoga magazine (2003-2010), the author of Yoga Heals Your Back (Fairwinds, 2005), and Tranquil Mind. She teaches cancer patients and survivors at Stamford Hospital's Bennett Cancer Center, Intensive Cardiac Rehab (ICR) and at The Health and Fitness Institute (HFI). She works closely with Connecticut Challenge and is developing a Yoga for Cancer Teacher Training. Rita has presented yoga therapy to medical students at Yale University, at the International Yoga Therapy Conference (IYTC) and Montreal International Symposium for Therapy and Yoga (MISTY 2011). Her article, Open Heart Yoga was published in the Spring of 2011 and she contributed a chapter for the upcoming book The Sacred Thread of Yoga, by Kofi Buscia.

In July 2011 she was initiated into the Kalachakra Tantra by H.H. the XIV Dalai Lama inWashington, DC and continues her in-depth studies of Buddhist philosophy and meditation. Visit her blog at ritatude.blogspot.com

Lara Demberg Voloto

Lara Demberg Voloto, RYT, is a Certified Yoga Instructor, with 10 years teaching experience and co-founder of Vikasa Studio in Cold Spring, NY. Lara specializes in therapeutics and leads fun, challenging classes. She has studied with many gifted teachers, who have deepened her teachings, which are fun, challenging to the body and spirit, and always invoke a deeper purpose for stepping on the mat. Her open level classes blend many different abilities and challenges; everyone walks away challenged no matter what they bring to the mat.
