Paula Bellini

Paula found yoga over 25 years ago in her hometown, Rio de Janeiro, inspired by the beauty of Tantra Yoga Philosophy. Her very first class experience was an introduction to meditation and pranayama with energy visualization. Yoga has since become a way of living.

Paula left Brazil as a successful and traveled model arriving in New York in 1994 to live the "American Dream." From babysitting to waiting tables to bartending, she made her way to college and graduated with honors in 2001, already holding a full time job on Wall Street. Paula worked long hours on the 74th floor of Two World Trade Center and held on to her yoga in order to stay centered and positive. Her career was taking off fast and on September 10th, 2001 she met a client that was about to change her fate. But the following morning, September 11, 2001, has changed Paula's life forever!!!

Paula never made up to her office that morning, but her soon to be husband went up and never made it back down, leaving Paula 7 weeks pregnant with her dreams shattered and grief that could stop a heart from beating. Yoga then became home for a broken heart and enlightened Paula with the realization that this was all part of her journey. She embraced this journey and cherished every moment of her pregnancy.

Nicholas was born healthy and serene the following year. His birth brought hope back and filled Paula's heart with love again. She is now remarried and has a little girl that can fill the room with her smile and bubbly personality. Nicholas is a smart and very kind young man who is being raised to be a true gentleman, following the footsteps of his father.

Paula became a registered yoga teacher with the intention to share the empowering practice of yoga with her students, bringing a calming presence and uplifting style to encourage each student to “embrace their journey and live in the moment”.

Kate Bovers

Kate Bovers is a certified hatha yoga teacher and Reiki master who came to yoga at a time when her health was ruled by chronic Lyme disease. She feels that yoga brought her back to well being and desires to give back all that she has learned. Trainings include Katonah Yoga with Nevine Michaan, Yogaworks with Alan Finger, Om Yoga with Gina Norman, Anusara with Ross Rayburn, Anatomy and Physiology with Ellen Saltonstall, Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater, Psychology of the Chakras with Anodea Judith and Sequencing with Christina Sell.

Kate utilizes specific alignment cues, kinetic awareness, mindful meditation, breath work and movement to access the subconscious language of the body. With a sensitivity to each student's individual needs, she loves to play with the aligned form of the body as a way to open the center of the heart . Kate is currently training on the Fundamentals of Teaching with Noah Maze and The Emergence Process (the shift from ego to essence) with Patricia Ellsberg and Barbara Marx Hubbard. She finds great joy getting lost on the reservation with her Cavalier mix Buella Bell.

Taylor Chen

A ballet injury brought me to yoga in high school and the practice has colored my life in varying ways ever since. Though I completed my first teacher training in 2005, my true training has come in the form of continued education, living and practicing in the city and my travels abroad.

My teaching is a reflection of my studies- an authentic blend of east and west. I am continuously inspired by the ways western science and eastern medicine reflect, inform, and explain one another. In my classes, we investigate the relationship between musculoskeletal anatomy and the subtler energies of the body as a means of harmonizing our internal and external environments.

Together we'll play with nourishing information in a safe and exploratory environment, often employing props, partners and imagination to access space. I hope each of my students leaves with the foundations for a more integrated connection to self and movement, along with the inspiration to continue exploring.
